Number system for banking examination



NUMBER SYSTEM
Place value: In the given number 530
Place value of 0 is 0*1=0, (Number is at unit place)
Place value of 3 is 3*10=30, (Number is at tenth place)
Place value of 5 is 5*100=500, (Number is at hundredth place)
530=500+30+0
Face Value: Face value of a digit in given number is the value of that digit, instead of location of that digit. For example the given number is 530.
Face Value of 0 is 0
Face Value of 3 is 3
Face Value of 5 is 5
  
TYPES OF NUMBER: Numbers are classified in following types

·         Natural Number: All counting numbers from 1 to n numbers, such as 1, 2, 3, 4…
·         Whole Number: All counting numbers with 0 is called whole numbers such as 0, 1, 2, 3 …
·         Integers: All whole numbers with negative numbers such as (-3,-2,-1) together forms set of integers.
·         Even Numbers: The number which is exactly divisible by two is called even numbers. i.e. (0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10…). 
·         Odd Numbers: The number which is not exactly divisible by two is called odd numbers. i.e. (1, 3, 5, 7…).
·         Prime numbers: The number greater 1 and having exactly two factors, one is itself and another is 1 always is called prime numbers. i.e (2, 3, 5, 7, 11……).
·         Composite Numbers: The number greater than 1 and which are not prime numbers are called as composite numbers. i.e.(4,5,6,8….)
